The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two-time world heavyweight champion Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.
"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Physical Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
